The Waterville Hotel received the Washington State Office of Archaelogy and Historic Preservation Officers Award for Outstanding Achievement in 1999

This 1903 hotel features original fixtures, furnishings and period decor. 12 unique rooms each having its own ambience, some with private baths. All rooms have a vintage sink, original furniture and a new mattress on the old high metal bed frames.

Guests can mingle with other travelers while experiencing the nostalgic items in the lobby, sitting room, and library, enjoy conversation on the spacious front porch overlooking the city park and national park highway, or slip away to the privacy of your own room, an old fashioned radio show and a claw foot tub. Coffee, tea and cocoa are served each morning, usually with a large helping of sunshine, surrounded by plants and flowers and a choir of songbirds on the front porch.

Summer days in Waterville are warm and sunny, the town being located at 2650 feet, is the highest elevated incorporated community in the state. The high elevation cools the summer nights and provides spectacular views of the surrounding mountain ranges. Waterville has been the Douglas county seat since 1887. The beautiful courthouse is one of many historic buildings within walking distance of the Waterville Hotel. The Waterville Historic Hotel and the downtown district are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The hub of the Big Bend Plateau, Waterville is centrally located for trips to Wenatchee, Chelan, Leavenworth, Grand Coulee, and all the sights in north central Washington.
